{Easy} Fleece Christmas Pillow Covers

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas at our house...

I have a super easy project I wanted to share... its perfect for this time of year.

I made 3 fleece pillow covers that are so soft and cozy in about 15 minutes out of 1 blanket.

It doesn't get much better than that!

The blanket was one of those 50x60 inch throws that you can find just about anywhere... I think I've seen them at Walmart for as low as $3. There are so many different patterns and colors to choose from! So not only is this project easy, its cheap as well.

These pillow covers were so easy to make and they're so soft that I might just have to make more.

I've listed all the measurements and instructions of how I made these pillow covers, so help yourself if you want to give it a try.

So very Thankful...

I found the cutest sign for Thanksgiving at Hobby Lobby and I just had to share.                                                                                                                                                         After all these years of decorating, my tastes are constantly changing.                                                                                                                                                                     Lately, I'm learning that less is more... so choosing a couple pieces that really mean something to me keep our house looking clean, open and less cluttered.                                                                                                                         I fell in love with this sign as soon as I saw it, while on a {Girls Weekend} with my Mom and Sisters.
I just love how its rustic, yet elegant, and simple.
I'm so {Thankful} for this season and the opportunity to think of the many blessings I've been given.
I have so much to be thankful for!!!!!
{don't forget to stop at Hobby Lobby and fall in love with all the wonderful decorations}

2020 {Lined} Monthly Calendars

Good morning!

Its been a crazy year and slow moving everything over from my old website.

But I'm super excited that you are still following along
on this crazy ride.

I'm so glad that so many of you like the calendars and find them useful!

I did make a free 2020 calendar
and the other 2020 calendars are available at my Etsy shop
CottageHavenLane

(they are only $1.50)
 I wanted to make them cheap because I know how much everything else in life costs...
too much!

FREE 2020 {Lined} Monthly Calendars- Printable Download

Calendars are a great way to stay organized and on task.

One of my favorite things to use my calendar for is journaling. So I made this lined calendar to keep track of all our family adventures... and there are plenty of them (my calendar is usually full by the end of the month).

The lines are great to keep activities separate or just to keep everything neat. There is also lots of extra space for notes or lists on the lined spaces at the bottom and top.

Life moves so quickly its easy to forget things. These calendars help me remember all those important days and events with plenty of time to plan ahead. Then I can look back and enjoy all the fun things we did.

DIY Easter Sign {makeover}

Easter is one of my favorite holidays!
{actually I really like them all!}

I love to decorate each month and I like the decorations to be simple {and meaningful}. Its ideal to find a sign that looks and says just what you want and doesn't cost very much.... but that is rarely ever the case for me so I improvise.

Every year I come up with lists of new things I want to buy/make. This year I wanted a couple small signs to accompany my wooden bunny.

These signs were so simple to make, didn't cost much,
and turned out so cute!

I’ve been working on these cute wooden bunnies... last year I wanted to make one but never got the chance. This year I got it started but not finished, yet anyways.

2019 Yearly {1-page} Planner

The year is new and so are my goals...

I'm still working on my {new years resolutions}, but I know for sure that I want to be more organized with my home and my time.

{it's a work in progress... I take one day at a time}

Last year I made this 1-page planner and it helped a lot to remind me what I had coming up for the months ahead.

This planner also worked really well to plan activities and keep record so I know what we did last year. I can go back and evaluate, then decided what activities to plan again and the ones to leave out.

{Free} Snowflake Kisses

Winter can be wonderful… but it can also be long, slow and cold.
We are making the most of these intensely cold days at home with family and hot cocoa.
Despite the cold… winter is beautiful!

Chalk Paint {Tithing Jars}

Chalk paint is wonderful! It sticks and stays on just about every surface.
For the past 5
or so years,
I have been
keeping our
kids tithing
money in
individual
sandwich bags
in thetop of a
kitchen
cupboard,
until we
would take
them to church
and turn them
in. Tithing
is donation
money we
give to
our church.

{Easy} Snowflake Wreath

I love snowflakes! They are my favorite thing to decorate with in January.

After I saw a post online where ladies used snowflakes to make different crafts, I thought that I could make a wreath.

I had tons of snowflakes collected from previous years decorating for Christmas so I didn’t have to buy anything for this project.

Supplies used: snowflakes, hot glue gun, and some wax paper.

(Tip: the wax paper did not work very well... the hot glue stuck to the wax paper and it was difficult to pull it off without tearing the wax paper and the paper stuck to the back of the wreath. So maybe parchment paper would be better.)

After gathering my supply of snowflakes... I had a variety of different ones... I started laying out the inner circle. I arrange them overlapping the edges and alternating different designs so I didn’t have two of the same snowflake next which other.

Once I got my first row arranged, I glued it all together with the hot glue gun.

I did the same thing on the second row... I arranged the snowflakes and once I liked the layout then I glued them together with a glue gun.

I love using the glue gun because it dries so fast and as soon as I was done I could hang it up on my front door. It was really simple to make but it was more time-consuming than I thought it would be. So if you’re thinking of making a snowflake project plan for a little bit of time.

Happy crafting!
