Cozy Sweatshirt DIY

Winter's coming! We've been fogged in for a week or so and its beautiful outside, very Christmas like.

I really like to stay inside and craft when the weather is cold. So here's another sweater I made that I'm very excited to share! It turned out so cute and its so comfy!

There are so many cute shirts out there its so fun to see all the different designs and creative graphics! But I really like to make my own.

I really love this sweater... and I can wear it for the whole cold season... which for us is November through April most years.

It was so easy and fun to make... my youngest keeps saying she needs one too.

I'm thinking I might even need a few more of this same design in different colors of sweatshirt.... and a few different colors of the other design I made (both designs are at the bottom of this post).

These are my favorite sweatshirts from walmart.com that I really like for stenciling projects. They are soft and I love the fit (and they don't shrink). Make sure to check the sizing so you get what works best for you. I usually wear a small but the small isn't as baggy as I like my sweaters to be so I went with a medium.

(no affiliate link so you'll have to look them up)

I still haven't tried the iron-on vinyl yet but I'm sure it would work good.

Once you have your favorite shirt or sweatshirt you're ready to find or make a stencil that you want on the front or back... the options are endless!

I made two designs for my sweater and I had a hard time choosing which one I wanted to use. In the end I decided to go with the bottom one but I really liked them both so I'll probably have to make a second sweater and use the top design too :)

Here's the designs I made for my sweater

...they are free...

so if you click on them you can save them and make a stencil or cut them out on iron-on vinyl with whatever machine you have and put them on your shirt. This is such a fun easy project!

Stay warm and cozy in your new sweater ;)
